My Haiku Poem Today

シロホンの音も運びくる若葉風

The wind bears

the scent of young leaves

and the sound of a xylophone

英語で書く季節のエントリー

While reading a dictionary,

I happened to encounter the following sentence:

"The two friends said goodbye and went their respective ways."

☆ That may be a common experience in life. But I can't help being very conscious of the two. It stimulates my imagination.

My Haiku Poem Today

雨のなか歩いてばかりの卯月かな

In this April,

I feel like I walk the streets

under the rain almost every day

曇りても雨でも花の街歩き

Even in cloudy or rainy day

I wander aimlessly around the streets

where the cherry blossoms are in bloom

   The Lake Isle of Innisfree

    by William Butler Yeats
I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made;
Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight’s all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet’s wings.

I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey,
I hear it in the deep heart’s core.

☆Yeats's description of scenery is splendid, and that this poem rhymes at the end of the lines. Beautiful!
