While Reading a Dictionary

I encountered the following sentence:

"I was once again reminded how circumscribed and fragile is a human life."

☆Yes, there was an incident that made me think like that today. One of my relatives went into a hospital. I visited the patient a little while ago. I am praying for his speedy recovery.
