In Japan, Golden Week has started.

It is a holiday week in Japan which is from the end of April to early May.

During the holiday week there are too many people everywhere. All the resort in Japan is crowded with holidaymakers.

Honestly, I dislike the congestion.

But an important event will happen during the week.

Yes, the season will change from spring to early summer.

B'zの松本孝弘、「ピンクのミュージックマン」と20年ぶりに再会。ファンのミエナイチカラが結集した

B'zの松本孝弘さんが、行方不明になっていた90年代後半に愛用したギター「ピンクのミュージックマン」と、約20年ぶりに再会を果たした。

ことの発端は、4月14日。
B'zが結成30周年を記念して開催している展覧会「B'z 30th Year Exhibition "SCENES" 1988-2018」に、本来であれば展示したかった松本さんのギターの行方について、SNSで情報を呼びかけたのだ。

投稿には「1997年に保管先より忽然と消えてしまった」「当時、あらゆる可能性を考えて捜したものの所在がつかめず、手がかりもないままに捜索が断念されておりました」と当時の状況が綴られた。

続けて、「当時とは違い、SNSによる情報の発信・拡散によって様々な奇跡もおきている昨今。突然のお願いで恐縮ですが、皆さまのお力をお貸しください」と熱く呼びかけた。

投稿は瞬く間に拡散され、願いは見事に叶った。わずか1週間でギターは松本さんの元に帰ってきた。

小室哲哉氏＆篠原涼子　２２年ぶりタッグ！ 小室氏が篠原主演映画の音楽を担当

　女優・篠原涼子（４４）が主演する映画「ＳＵＮＮＹ　強い気持ち・強い愛」（８月３１日公開）の音楽を、プロデューサー引退を表明した小室哲哉氏（５９）が担当することが２４日、分かった。

篠原は９０年代に小室ファミリーとして、「恋しさと　せつなさと　心強さと」などをヒットさせており、小室氏とは２２年ぶりのタッグ。

小室氏が今年１月の引退発表前に受けていた仕事だったことから、“再会”が実現した。

総合職の応募、2年連続減＝国家公務員採用試験―人事院

人事院は20日、中央省庁で主に政策の企画立案を担う国家公務員総合職（大学院修了・大卒程度）の採用試験について、2018年度の申込者数を発表した。



前年度比4．8％減の1万9609人で、2年連続の減少となった。



☆現下のニュースのとおり、財務官僚トップとナンバー2がああいう形で立て続けに辞任する姿を見せつけられると、将来ある若い学生の申込み意欲は下がり、今年度の数字は更に下がるものと思います。

☆優秀な人材は民間、海外に流出していくということは止められないと思います。

☆他方、公務の現場では、志高く真面目に仕事をしている人たちがほとんどであることも併せて付記しておかなければなりません。

Finance Ministry admits asking Moritomo to lie

Japan's Finance Ministry has admitted that one of its officials asked a school operator to lie about why it received a huge discount when it bought state-owned land.

The ministry sold the plot in Osaka, western Japan, to Moritomo Gakuen for a price far below its market value. It said the discount was aimed at offsetting the cost of removing buried waste.

Mitsuru Ota, who heads the ministry's bureau in charge of state-owned property, told an Upper House committee on Monday that an official in his section called Moritomo's lawyer in February last year.

Ota said the official suggested that Moritomo should say that thousands of trucks were used to transport the waste and the work cost a lot of money.

He said the official also asked a member of the ministry's Osaka office to pressure the school operator to comply. But he said the member refused to do this, and Moritomo's lawyer also rejected the proposal.

Ota said the bureau official tried to persuade Moritomo to make statements that would confirm the ministry's account of the waste removal. He said this was wrong and shameful, and he offered an apology.

Women urged to get out of sumo ring amid emergency

Women trying to provide emergency treatment to a person who collapsed in a sumo ring were urged to leave it during a sumo event. The Japan Sumo Association later said the appeal was inappropriate in the life-threatening situation.

According to the association, Maizuru City Mayor Ryozo Tatami suddenly collapsed while making a speech in the ring on Wednesday. The association was holding the event at a gym in Kyoto Prefecture.

Several women entered the ring and took part in life-saving efforts. But a referee repeatedly announced that they should get out of the ring.

Professional sumo has the tradition of keeping women out of rings.

City officials said the mayor was taken to a hospital, and his life is not in danger.

Association Chairman Hakkaku issued a statement. He said he greatly appreciates the women's efforts and offers a deep apology for the inappropriate response.
