どしゃ降りをバイクで帰省する子かな

In a torrential downpour

my son has returned home from Tokyo

on his motorbike

Major Event of Huge Historical Importance

Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Election was held last Sunday.

The LDP was thrashed in the election, failing to obtain cooperation from the New Komeito Party.

Now the LDP is a state of historical devastation.

The people's minds are alienated from the right-wing politics full of scandals.

There is no sure path to recover the LDP's influence in the Metropolitan Assembly toward the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020. Good!

I feel refreshed and have the greatest respect for the judgement of the people of Metropolitan Tokyo.

I hope the election result will mark the beginning of better times including the collapse of the ultraright Abe Cabinet.
