（Update) Japan Shifts Policy to Allow Collective Self-Defense

   Tokyo, July 1 (Jiji Press)--In a historic policy shift, the Japanese government decided Tuesday to change its interpretation of the pacifist constitution with the aim of allowing the country to exercise its right to self-defense. 

   The decision at an extraordinary cabinet meeting will pave the way for the Self-Defense Forces to use force overseas to aid an ally under attack and marks a major turning point in the country's post-World War II security policy, which had been exclusively defense-oriented.

   The government of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will be held accountable for the decision, including the way it changed the status quo not through an amendment to the constitution. The government's interpretation of the charter was that Japan has the right to collective self-defense but was not allowed to exercise it.

   Ahead of the cabinet meeting, Abe held talks with Natsuo Yamaguchi, chief of New Komeito, the ruling Liberal Democratic Party's junior coalition partner.

   Central to the cabinet decision was the easing of conditions for exercising the right to self-defense.

☆ 戦後、いわゆる「右」も「左」もなく、いわゆる「保守」も「革新」もなく、営々と築いてきた憲法のinterpretation of the pacifist constitutionを、この安倍氏は、本日、「私の内閣の閣議決定」ごときで変えたわけだ。いい根性しているよ。正々堂々と憲法改正をすることができない情けない人物が、だ。

☆ 憲法改正は、この人が所属している党の党是じゃないのか。それさえもかなぐり捨てて恥ずかしくないのかね。

☆この人の頭にある法体系では、自分の内閣の閣議決定ごときが憲法より優先するということらしい。王様気取りか。こんなアホらしいリクツ、今の時代、どこの世界で通用するのかね。一部の米国人が高笑いしている以外、世界中が失笑しているのじゃないか。

☆確かに過去にこんなリクツが通っていた時代があった。戦前の日本だ。この人が「日本を取り戻せ」と絶叫していたのが、あの時代の日本のことだと思うと腑に落ちるのだが、背筋が凍る。その後、日本はどんな運命をたどったか、ということだ。
