英語で書く季節のエントリー

The two terrible floods occurred in Japan on Sep. 10 and on Sep. 11: the latter was just "the 220th day."

"The 220th day" means  the 220th day from the first day of spring according to the lunar calendar.

It is traditionally said to be a critical day of autumn from ancient times in Japan.

On the other hand, some say that the flood on Sep.10 was more man-made than natural disaster.

In any event, we cannot avert our eyes from the hard reality.
