The anniversary of Kyoka′s death―

Umenohashi stands out   

in the  blue light of a gas street lamp 

                                  Tazuko Tsurutani 

☆Kyoka means a Japanese novelist Kyoka Izumi(泉鏡花、1873―1939). The anniversary of his death is 7 Sept.

☆Umenohashi is a proper noun and means a wooden bridge across Asanogawa River near Kyoka′s birthplace in Kanazawa City.
