☆佐藤七段も遅咲きの棋士でしたが、先年、NHK杯トーナメントで準優勝を果たし、最近、『三間飛車藤井システム』を上梓されました。
☆音楽スタジオを借りてショパンのピアノ演奏を楽しむという一面もお持ちです。

八月の機内に点る読書灯
村上健志さん（テレビ番組『プレバト‼︎』（本日放送）にて）
Now in August
the in-flight reading lights
are on

☆「夕焼けを背景にした飛行機の写真からピースフルな句を作りました。」と村上さん。
☆村上さんの句はいつも抒情がありますが、今回は歴史も踏まえているということなんですね。
☆8月には広島忌、長崎忌、終戦記念日があります。空襲で逃げまどい、防空壕で灯りを点けられない時代もありました。でも、今は、ということですね。
☆したがって、この「八月」という季語は動かない、ということになります。すごい。
☆村上さんが昨年8月に詠んだ句は、
「八月の海を置き去るバイクかな」
でした。こちらは行く夏を惜しむ気持ちに溢れています。バイクでサッと、夏よ、さらばだ、という感じもいいですね。「海を置き去る」ですか。何ともかっこいい詩的表現です。

Tepco says it will decommission nuclear reactors at Fukushima No. 2 plant

Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc. will decommission the Fukushima No. 2 nuclear plant, its president, Tomoaki Kobayakawa, told Fukushima Gov. Masao Ochibori at a meeting Wednesday.
The fuel will be placed in metallic containers and cooled using a dry storage approach, according to the operator.
No decision has been made regarding final disposal of the spent fuel, raising concerns that the radioactive waste may remain on-site for a long time.
Fukushima No. 1 currently houses around 10,000 fuel assemblies, including both spent and new fuel, cooling in pools.

☆Wow, I like the words ”love at first sight.” It's beautiful! I know there are a lot of styles in love through movies, novels and others.
☆However, ”love at first sight” is filled with happy expectation, isn't it ?
☆In the 1980s, I was confident of my first sight inspiration. But always any ladies said to me,”You are good my friend.”,”Thank you for your treat.” That's all.
☆So, I lost my confidence. Only happy expectation remained, not a marriage.
☆But I would like to express my gratitude to them in those brilliant days. Thank you very much for your loveliness and kindness.

エルメスの騎士像翳りゆき驟雨
村上健志さん（テレビ番組『プレバト‼︎』（昨日放送）にて）

☆作品が発表された際、作者自身が「いや〜、カッコイイ！」とナルシストキャラで叫んでいましたが、本当にかっこいい作品だと思います。
☆エルメス、騎士像、翳りゆき、驟雨。斡旋された言葉が全部効いており、特に、句またがりの下五「ゆき驟雨」の凝縮されたリズム感が絶妙です。
☆辛口審査員の夏井先生の評も「季語を生かす描写が素晴らしい。添削するところなし。」というものでした。「だけど、その顔は本当にイラつく。」と付け加えることも忘れていませんでした。はは。夏井先生、村上さんはそういうキャラでやっているんですって。
☆このところの村上さんの俳句には瞠目せざるを得ません。風景を切り取る感性、立ち上がる抒情、そして、それを表現する新鮮な語感に敬服するほかありません。これからも期待しております。

☆作品が発表された際、作者自身が「いや〜、カッコイイ！」とナルシストキャラで叫んでいましたが、本当にかっこいい作品だと思います。
☆エルメス、騎士像、翳りゆき、驟雨。斡旋された言葉が全部効いており、特に、句またがりの下五「ゆき驟雨」の凝縮されたリズム感が絶妙です。
☆辛口審査員の夏井先生の評も「季語を生かす描写が素晴らしい。添削するところなし。」というものでした。「だけど、その顔は本当にイラつく。」と付け加えることも忘れていませんでした。はは。夏井先生、村上さんはそういうキャラでやっているんですって。
☆このところの村上さんの俳句には瞠目せざるを得ません。風景を切り取る感性、立ち上がる抒情、そして、それを表現する新鮮な語感に敬服するほかありません。これからも期待しております。

☆The recent demonstration of about two million people in Hong Kong has shown the international community that the power of the people can change the rigid administrative decision. That has emitted a brilliant light, yes, it's like a beautiful pearl.

☆先日、本ブログにお訪ねくださっています日本の読者様からご丁重なるお問い合わせを頂きましたので、今回から管理人の自作品に俳号等を付記いたします。
☆俳句の場合は「砂山てつを」、短歌の場合は「砂山てつお」です。英文表記はどちらの場合も「Tetsu Sunayama」です。
☆これまでのエントリー表記に「（マイ俳句編）」、「（マイ短歌編）」とあるものが管理人の作品です。
☆作品での仮名遣いは、俳句は歴史的仮名遣いを基本とし、短歌は現代仮名遣いを基本としています。

Richard Powers is, to my mind, one of the greatest living American novelists. He is certainly one of the most formidable, rewarding authors I have ever read. This new novel is endlessly fascinating, extraordinary and utterly unforgettable.” (Jason Arthur, publisher)
A monumental novel about reimagining our place in the living world, by one of our most “prodigiously talented”(New York Times Book Review) novelists.

”Writing The Overstory quite literally changed my life, starting with where and how I live.
Researching the book, I visited the Smokies, home to the largest tracts of remaining old growth forest east of the Rockies, with six kinds of forest and more species of trees than there are in all of Europe.
I ended up staying, and I’ve lived for the last two years in this, one of the last refuges of biodiversity on the continent. Here, walking a trail has become as important to me as writing.
The Overstory is my twelfth published novel. In the past, when I finished a book, I was always ready and excited to go on to a new topic—something new and different from anything I’d written about before.
Now I just want to walk, look, listen, breathe, and write this same book, again and again, from different aspects and elevations, with characters as old and large as I am able to imagine.”

Reiwa: Japan reveals name of new era ahead of Emperor's abdication

In a much-awaited moment that heralded the approach of a new chapter in Japan’s history, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga announced Monday that the new Imperial era will be named Reiwa, in one of the final steps toward initiating the nation’s first Imperial succession in three decades.
Holding up a placard that displayed the kanji characters for the new era, Suga said the name was formulated based on the introduction to a set of poems from “Manyoshu,” the oldest existing compilation of Japanese poetry.
The first character represents “good fortune,” while the second can be translated as “peace” or “harmony.”
☆I think it is good that the phrase ”Reiwa （令和）” is taken from the Manyoshu (万葉集, around 600-759), which is the oldest anthology of Japanese waka（和歌）poems.
